Xanax in a cup

This makes me feel so warm, cozy, and loved every morning. There's just something about that jolly old elf that just perks me right up! Hope everyone is having a wonderful and blessed Christmas week! And Happy Hannukah, if I happen to have any Jewish readers!

Christmas party season is upon us!

Hi, y'all!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We sure did. It was busy, but very nice. We ran the Chase the Turkey 5K in town:
(Picture coming soon. iPhoto is being a PITA)

Yes, that's me in the middle. Pink shirt. Goofy trucker-ish Red Sox hat.

Durn Steve and my friends for not telling me how awful that hat looked. My ponytail has higher than I thought, and that pushed the whole hat too high on my head.

Doofus.

GAH!

And I'm on the front page of the sports section looking like a complete asshat. Literally.

The funny part is that we ran the race with my neighbor's family (4 of them, anyway), and all of us BUT the Hubs made the paper. Poor guy.

Nah, I don't think he's too disappointed.

After we ran all over the golf course, we ran to visit with the fam.

All over East Tennessee.

Whew

What a tiring day. I love seeing all the family, but it's hard to spend 3 total driving around just to spend a couple of hours with each side of the family. The worst thing about Thanksgiving is that it's just one day. Christmas gets spread around across pretty much the month of December, but Thanksgiving is fast and furious!

Speaking of Christmas, Hub's Christmas party was a last weekend. A good time was had by all.

Yada, yada, yada.

I will not elaborate, but I will say that I did enough celebrating to last me through Big Girl's wedding.

Hopefully 30 years from now.

Ugh.

Celebrating is for the young'uns, y'all.

Ugh, I say. Ugh.

Shoo.

I shudder at the thought.

However, I do have a few cute pictures to show off, though. These were all obviously taken PRIOR to the world going pear-shaped that night.

I'm going to use everyone's initials in order to protect the innocent. Or the guilty, as the case may be.

My friend L and me. Yes, I know it should be L and I, but I thought that looked confusing.

L and her husband J

C and AM.

Me and AM. Is that better? I don't think so. Whatever. Obviously I'm totally over-thinking this. And yes, as a matter of fact I AM wearing an Oompah Loompah costume. And a Blueberry Muffin band aid on my finger. I'm a woman not afraid to represent for the Strawberry Shortcake girls.

Moving right along...

Oops. Champagne? Who said anything about champagne? I don't know nuthin' about no champagne!

AM, A, L, and me. You may recognize A from THIS POST.

The Hubs and I. The funny thing is that at the time, he thought this pose was the right decision. He was obviously quite mistaken. He is actually quite a fit guy with no double chin and no GO GO Gadget! arm. Big shout out to C for the photo bomb, though!
Karaoke, anyone? All you need to do is hold this shiny thing and scream. Seriously. We'll all laugh and think you're the funniest thing ever.
See? Told you. HI-larious, I tell you.

Yep. That's where I gotta stop with the pictures.

Remember, I have myself some guilty people to protect!

I have about 10 blog post ideas floating around in my head, and I'm going to try my best to get them all posted soon. Here's hoping!

Hope everyone has a very festive week!
